As I’m sure you know, I take a very artistic approach with my photos. I also consider myself to be more of an artist than a photographer.
I have a lot of other interests that have helped contribute to my abilities as a photographer. These interests include cinematography, film making, music, CGI, drawing, and even woodworking to name a few.
I’ve noticed each one of these interests are very similar to each other and help me to understand and apply concepts from one interest to another.
For instance. With each artistic interest you are telling a story. You can tell that story through contrast of colors sound and composition.
In music, you can convey so many different emotions by mixing different types of sounds and instruments together. In photography, cinematography, and CGI you can also convey a variety of emotions by mixing certain colors.
I often find if I am stuck on a project I think about what I would do in a different interest, and that helps me look at it with a new perspective.
Art has always been a huge part of my life and I continue to learn new things every single day.
I know this was a short article, but this topic is near and dear to my heart and I wanted to share it with you.
